Role Purpose:

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Vehicle Programme and Test Planner to join our Electric Vehicle engineering team. This role is pivotal in coordinating and planning all Design Verification (DV) testing activities for the Ergonomics department. You will be the central point of contact, ensuring that vehicle content is accurately monitored, requirements are managed, and testing is completed on schedule, providing clear visibility of status and priorities to all stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate new vehicle content and engineering changes to assess their impact on Ergonomics, communicating effectively with relevant stakeholders to coordinate a response.
  • Monitor vehicle content to ensure all necessary Ergonomics requirements are active and managed within the central engineering test management system throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Act as the primary lead for Design Verification (DV) testing for the Ergonomics team.
  • Organise and coordinate the availability of both physical and virtual vehicle test properties.
  • Maintain the team’s DV testing calendar and ensure the central engineering test management system is up-to-date.
  • Proactively ensure the team is aware of and prepared for all upcoming testing deadlines.
  • Guarantee the completion of the Ergonomics team’s DV testing, including the timely submission of all test reports.
  • Maintain a clear, concise, and up-to-date summary of the Ergonomics status and priorities across all vehicle programmes, sharing regular updates with integration teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Refresh and maintain the team’s internal website (e.g., SharePoint) to ensure information and resources are easily accessible for team members and other departments.

 

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Proven strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • An analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Demonstrable experience in planning and coordinating activities for a large team (c. 40 people).
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage and work with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Hands-on experience using Agile planning tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Familiarity with workflow management tools (e.g., IBM Rational DOORS, IBM Engineering Workflow Management).
  • High proficiency with collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint, Lucid).

 

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience working within an automotive engineering environment.
  • Experience in an Ergonomics, Human Factors, or HMI (Human-Machine Interface) role.
